In the double roller moving model veneer peeling machine, the knife carriage is fixed, and the knife itself does not move. During peeling, the double roller system pushes the wood log forward. As the rollers rotate and advance, the log is continuously peeled into thin veneers against the stationary knife.
Since the knife carriage does not move, the overall machine structure remains more stable, with less vibration or deviation. As a result, the veneer thickness is more uniform, the surface is smoother, and the overall veneer quality is higher.
In machines where the knife carriage moves back and forth, problems usually appear after 2–3 years of operation. The support arms on the single roller seat often become loose, causing larger mechanical gaps. Even after replacing the support arms, the gaps remain, which leads to strong vibration, reduced durability, and poor veneer quality and thickness accuracy.
However, the double-roller driving system perfectly solves this problem. It does not require any part replacement, and the machine can run smoothly and stably for long time, keeping the veneer quality consistently high over time.
This machine uses a “three-point linear” installation process for the feed screw. Unlike ordinary machines that only fix the screw at the front and middle, this design securely fixes the screw at the front, middle, and rear, keeping it perfectly aligned in a straight line.
Because the feed screws on both sides drive the front and rear movement of the double rollers, the stability of the feed directly affects the quality of the veneer. With the three-point linear setup, the screw remains vibration-free during peeling, making the double rollers move more smoothly and steadily.
As a result, the machine operates more stably and durably, while producing veneer that is smoother and more uniform in thickness. This ensures higher-quality sheets with minimal vibration throughout the peeling process.
The bottom of the double rollers adopts a linear guide structure. Compared with traditional sliding rails, linear guides move more smoothly and offer higher precision.
This design greatly improves the stability of the double rollers, allowing the machine to run more steadily and reliably over long periods of time. It also ensures higher peeling accuracy — the veneer thickness is more consistent, and the surface is smoother and flatter.
In short, the linear guide system enhances both the durability of the machine and the quality of the veneer it produces.
